Replacing the head unit in my 2017 VW Passat ended up triggering an Airbag Error light — all because I forgot to reconnect a wire under the dash trim. I had another OBDII scanner, but it couldn't clear airbag codes. Beyond frustrating. I drove around for over a month with that light on, tried every "battery trick" I could find, and nothing worked.

I even called the dealer — they quoted me $85 to $250 just to read and clear the code. Absolutely not.

Then I found this tool for $55. Plugged it in, and within seconds I could view and erase the code myself.

We have a VW Touareg and our daughter has a Skoda Fabia. I had serviced the cars, but had not been able to reset the service indicator until I had this tool. That was very easy with this tool. I like the fact that it has a brake wind back feature as the brakes took me a while to do on the Touareg a couple of years ago.
I would like to check if there is an data upgrade as lifetime upgrades were promised, but I can't see anything on the website about connection. The instructions just say connect to the website, but nothing happens. For that reason I'll give it 4 stars, but am prepared to increase that if I find out how to connect to the site.

Needed to get the electronic rear parking brake out of the way so I could replace the pads. Very simple menu led me through the steps. Only took a minute. Used it to reset oil interval too. GREAT TOOL!
