No. "28+ service functions" refers to the categories of service functions the DS300 offers; it does not mean every vehicle supports every function.

Functions such as EPB service, ABS bleeding, BMS/battery registration, DPF service, throttle adaptation, and injector coding are vehicle-dependent. Some vehicles use a manual procedure or may not expose a function to third-party scan tools. We recommend confirming the 1–3 service tasks you use most often before purchasing.

Supported: ECU Coding (Adaptation Coding / Variant Coding)

• Applicable scenarios:
After replacing a control module or actuator that already contains adaptive data, the DS300 can be used to configure parameters, perform variant coding, or complete data matching.

• Common applications include:

- Injector Coding (writing injector codes) on vehicles such as Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz
- TCM adaptation and transmission module matching
- Brake pad reset and adaptation
- Activation of certain hidden features (offline/online coding availability depends on the vehicle brand and model)

Not Supported: ECU Programming (Module Programming / Flashing)

• Not supported scenarios:
- The DS300 cannot write the original operating system or bootloader to a completely blank control module (Blank/New ECU/PCM).
- It cannot perform dealer-level ECU firmware reflashing, software updates, or ECU tuning (Re-flashing / ECU Tuning).

Note:
ECU software flashing, blank module programming, or manufacturer-authorized online programming may still require dedicated OEM-level equipment.

Yes, compatible DS300 hardware versions support CAN FD, but CAN FD capability depends on the device hardware revision.

• DS300 units with letters in the serial number support CAN FD directly without an additional adapter
• Serial numbers containing digits only—typically units produced before May 2025—do not support CAN FD.

For FCA vehicles (Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, etc.) from 2018 and newer equipped with a SGW (Security Gateway) module, due to Stellantis'official security restrictions, authorization through the AutoAuth official platform is required to perform bidirectional controls and clear certain diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).

• Older FCA vehicles without a Security Gateway (SGW) typically do not require an AutoAuth subscription.
• Even without AutoAuth authorization, you can still read all available system fault codes and view live data normally.

Function Availability Without Updates

• Even if you choose not to update the device in the future, the installed software, supported vehicle coverage, and available functions will continue to work permanently.
• The device will not be locked or disabled due to skipped updates.
